Chick Calder L.R.P.S.

I've been actively interested in photography for over 40 years, since I bought my first SLR, a Zenith E way back in 1967. Over the years I've progressed through various cameras Chinon, Nikon, and Minolta to end up with my present digital system Konica Minolta Dynax 7D, and for film photography, yes I'm still an occasional dinosaur and still take slides, and more to the point I think as long as it's available I probably will, for this I use my Minolta 7000.

Like many photographers I shoot nearly anything, Landscapes, Flowers and if I must give a preference it would be Natural History.

I'm a Member of both the Royal Photographic Society and Edinburgh Photographic Society. I obtained my Licentiateship in 1999 and am currently working on a panel for my Associateship, well I'll get one eventually. I tried it with my flower images but was told the subject is too common and not different enough but I have come up with another idea which I'm currently working on.

In addition to Photography I am a very keen fisherman and I enjoy both fly fishing for trout and big game fishing for Marlin, Shark, catfish, Skate etc

Always remember photography is fun and should be enjoyed by either in the taking of an image or in the looking at it, the more you take the better you become
